Reasons for Addition

I was always drawn to more mature stories as I was growing up. The childish and kid-friendly ones never resonated with me. One day, while searching for something to pass the time, I stumbled upon a graphic novel that illustrated and told the many stories of Greek Mythology. I was immediately enchanted by the gore, violent tones, and captivating tales of love, betrayal, revenge, and more. This was my first introduction to any mythology, and I eagerly consumed every story. This was just the beginning of my fascination for mythologies.
However, I soon realized that the version I was reading was condensed and substituted detailed writing for pictures and storyboards. While it was nice to visualize at a young age, it left me wanting more. That's when I discovered that there were more complete versions of these stories detailing them in their original entirety.
The original version I read had been adapted from Gustav Schwab's book, "Gods and Heroes of Ancient Greece". Thus this was a valued addition to the library.

"I traveled a road that was supposed to be fatal before and came out alive. I met quite a few unpleasant characters on my journey and had a few anxious moments, but I learned from them that the best weapon you can give an enemy is your own fear."

"It was she who stated that compassion was the best part of wisdom."
