Alexandre Dumas

Alexandre Dumas, also recognized as Alexandre Dumas Père, was a renowned French novelist and playwright who initially gained recognition for his plays before transitioning to writing novels. Among his most well-known works are his historical adventure novels, such as The Count of Monte Cristo, The Three Musketeers, Twenty Years After, and The Vicomte of Bragelonne: Ten Years Later, many of which were first published as serials.

Reasons for Addition

This story is among my most beloved of all time. I appreciate a well-crafted story of revenge, redemption, and romance. While I have encountered numerous adaptations of Dumas' works, The Count of Monte Cristo stands out as my top choice. Adding this book to my collection gives me the chance to delve into the story once more, experiencing it in its purest form.

My Favorite Quoates from this Book

"There are two ways of seeing: with the body and with the soul. The body's sight can sometimes forget, but the soul remembers forever."

"How did I escape? With difficulty. How did I plan this moment? With pleasure."

"For all evils there are two remedies - time and silence."
